How is the price set?+
Three flat packages, fixed before any work starts: the Handyman Visit is $345 for up to 2 hours of general repairs, the Half Day is $595, and the Full Day is $1,095. Longer jobs such as a backsplash, a shed, or a deck resurface get a single written price. Specialty installs (doors, vanities, shower doors) are priced per job and agreed in advance. There is no hourly meter and no surprise line at the bottom. Materials are billed at cost and itemized on the invoice.
Which towns do you cover?+
Most of our Monmouth work is in Middletown, Red Bank, Hazlet, Keyport, Rumson, and Fair Haven. We cover Atlantic Highlands, Holmdel, Matawan, and Aberdeen on the same schedule. All of it is a short run from our base in Parlin. Close but not listed? Call and ask.
Who actually comes to the house?+
One of our own people: background-checked, insured, on our payroll, and held to the same standard as the owner. You get a name and an on-my-way text before the truck pulls up, the work follows the list you sent, and the site is cleaned before we leave.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Central Jersey Home Services LLC is a registered New Jersey home improvement contractor (NJ HIC #13VH13918800), bonded, and carries general liability insurance. Proof is available on request.
What is the fastest way to book?+
Text photos of the list to (609) 375-0098, call, or send the form on the Book page. Photos are the shortcut: from a few pictures we can size the job, confirm the package, and schedule without a separate estimate trip.
What sort of work do you take?+
Repairs, not renovations: drywall, doors and locks, carpentry and trim, TV mounting and assembly, deck and fence repair, tile, grout and caulk, like-for-like fixture and faucet swaps, painting touch-ups, and seasonal maintenance. Longer one-to-three-day jobs like backsplashes and shed assembly too, and punch lists for offices and rental units. Full bathroom remodels and tub-to-shower conversions are renovations, and we do not do them.
Do you remodel kitchens or bathrooms?+
No. We stick to small-job craftsmanship. Kitchen-adjacent repairs such as backsplash tile, cabinet hinges and drawer slides, and like-for-like faucet or disposal swaps all fit inside a visit, but a kitchen or bathroom renovation is not our trade. We would rather say so than practice on your house.
How soon can you get here?+
Most visits go on the calendar within the week. We are not an emergency service. For a burst pipe or a sparking outlet, call the licensed emergency trade first and then call us for the repairs that follow.
Is the work guaranteed?+
Yes. One-year labor warranty: if our workmanship fails within twelve months, we return and put it right at no charge. Materials carry their manufacturer warranties.
How do I pay?+
Card, Zelle, check, or cash. Once the price is agreed, a 50% deposit holds your date and the balance is due when the work is finished and you have looked it over. Longer jobs follow the same rule: half at signing, half at completion, materials at cost with receipts. We do not use draw schedules.
Do I have to be home?+
For a first visit, a quick walkthrough with you at the start helps. Standing clients, landlords, and commercial accounts often arrange access and get photos when the list is done.
What if the list turns out bigger than a visit?+
You hear it before we start, never after. If the list is really a half day, we say so and price it. If something needs a licensed trade or a full remodel, we say that too and leave the choice of contractor to you. No pressure in either direction.
